Digital Conversion
One year ago, Comcast said those who already have cable hooked to their T.V's would not be affected by the Digital Transition. Well a year later and they say I do. Just installed 2 new boxes (little ones), not like the main cable box we already have. Comcast provided 2 for free for my extra T.V.'s. I could get more but it would cost me. Now I plugged them in, called Comcast to activate. Not working, called again, spent 1 hour and boxes still not working. Now I have to go down to their office and get 2 new boxes. What an inconvenience. Not happy with Comcast today....

I think it's going to be a long winter!
I am sick, I have been sick for 3 days, there goes by work bonus for not taking sick days. I just used 3 up. All my kids have been sick in the past 3 weeks. I have one home with me today. This is just November. I wonder how many families are going through the same thing I am. Wish I had stock in Motrin. All my children have gotten the Seasonal and H1N1 vaccines, and here we are still getting sick. Maybe they did not get it soon enough. So here we are going to doctors, pushing fluids, washing hands, disinfecting the house. I just hope all this goes away soon. My Doctors bill is adding up. But all I think about is the Holidays are coming, more gatherings beside school, which will keep these germs going. All we can do is wash hands, cough in elbow, stay home when sick. Let's just hope it gets better not worse.
Here is my first recipe for you to try. Fried Tortilla Crisps. Easy to make. Children love it.

You can call it Fall if that's what you please, but I say I like Autumn.
Autumn...What a colorful time of year. The different colors of the leaves. I like the bright yellow/orange leaves. When the leaves fall, reminds me of snow falling..I love Snow. The air is crisp. The sky at night seems clearer. And I love the way the family gathers in the living room at night. Halloween is over and now it's time to get ready for Thanksgiving. A great Holiday. Family, great food, and I especially love the leftovers. Kids starting to talk about Christmas. I have to slow them down, first Thanksgiving. Keeping family grounded to what is important during these times, is my job as a parent. After all, family is the important thing during the Holidays. Life is going to fast. Take time to smell the turkey cooking.........
